Chicot Memorial Medical Center is committed to providing convenient quality healthcare services in a caring, efficient and financially responsible manner that will enhance the quality of life for our community; promoting community wellness; and doing so with compassion, dignity, and respect for those we serve.
The citizens of Chicot County, since the days of Lake Village Infirmary on South Cokley Street, have supported and affirmed the above mission through a new addition in 2006 along with the conversion of the hospital to become a Critical Access Hospital. In 2009, the people of Chicot County approved a Sales Tax and endorsed the medical center’s change to a non-profit corporation. All of these positive actions are setting a path for Chicot Memorial Medical Center to become financially stable so that our staff can deliver high quality inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.
Most impressive about Chicot Memorial Medical Center are the high –quality, committed Board members, Medical Staff, employees, and volunteers. When patients are placed in our care, all of the above strive to ensure comprehensive, quality health care that will be delivered in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Chicot Memorial Medical Center consistently ranks high in our state in all quality indicators.
As Health Reform unfolds over the next several years, Chicot Memorial Medical Center is becoming well-positioned to meet the challenges of the future. I am grateful to be a part of this great group of healthcare professionals where every department contributes an invaluable service toward all our patients as we are all interdependent on one another. May all who enter our doors be blessed by the healing touch of our staff.
