Position Title: Pharmacy Technician III (Relief Tech)

Department:Pharmacy
Position Description: Makes morning rounds to count IV's and pick up billing. Troublshoot employee/nurses in a.m. Put up drug orders. Fill morning meds for Pharmacist to check, and deliver as needed throughout the day. Restock IVs and night lockers daily (each morning). Check crash carts daily/restock. Restock surgery supplies. Patient cart fill by 2pm. Assist with inventory and checking outdates, if needed. Performs repacking of any bulk medication and maintains appropriate documentation. Pick up drugs from Lake Village Drug, Hunter's etc. Answer phone. Verify cart fill/IV lists. Key in and file all billing. File fax copies of patient orders. Place drug order. Enter and put up all credits for the day, and any oter duties assigned by Pharmacist.
Status/Schedule:
Status:PRN
Shift Time Schedule:8:00AM - 4:30PM
Days:Monday - Friday
The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Education:High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:Experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred.
Special Skills:Requires knowledge of drug names and pharmacy math. Requires good Englich communication skills and computer skills. Must be able and willing to favorably interact with other hospital disciplines. Must be dependable and exhibit initiative.
Physical Requirements:Must be in good physical health. Must be able to sweep, mop and take out trash on designated days. Hours per day as needed for each scheduled day to accomplish the specific duties of the position; required to work on unscheduled day when requested.
License Required:Current registration (or eligibility) with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy.
