| Essential Job Duties | Responsible for coordinating, planning, supervising, and evaluatio the nursing care on assigned shift. Assist with the development and maintenance of functional staffing and scheduling patters for the Operating Room, Central Supply; in conjunction with the RN, Director of Surgical Services. Delegation of responsibilities to RN's assigned to the OR, CS, and other Nursing Service personnel assigned to these areas. Supervise and assist with the completion of personnel records. Provide employee counseling and documentation of the same. Reviews and takes action on patient and personnel complaints, reports to the RN, Director of Surgical Services those complaints, that cannot be resolved. Coordination of personnel assignments in OR and Central Supply. |
| Education: | Graduate of an Accrediated School of Nursing |
| Experience: | Comprehensive knowledge of general and surgical nursing theories and practices. Knowledge of current trends and thechniques in nursing practice. Knowledge of hospitaland department policies and procedures, patient care procedures, ability to operate technical equipment as required through orientation. Patience, tact, courtesy, initiative and effective communication skills are essential. Must have emotional stability and ability to function during stress and emergency situations. |
| License Required: | Current RN Licensure from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. |
