The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing basic and advanced Respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The therapist plans, implements and evaluates the effectiveness of Respiratory care. This individual must be able to interact with patients, physicians and other hospital personnel in a courteous manner and participate in the orientation of new employees, promotes teamwork, positive attitude, initiative and professionalism in accordance to the mission, vision and values of Chicot Memorial Medical Center. In addition, this individual provides leadership and supervision within the department, oversees the day-to-day operations, helps maintain compliance/regulatory guidelines and works closely with Director to provide guidance and expertise.
Education Requirements
Associate or Bachelor degree in Respiratory Care Technology
Work Experience/Licensure
A minimum of 5 years experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Registered Respiratory Therapist OR Certified Respiratory Therapist
